Hematite is one of the densest and most magnetic stones in the mineral kingdom. Its color — a deep iron gray, a metallic black that captures light and reflects it like a dark mirror — is immediately recognizable, immediately serious. Its polished surface takes on an almost metallic sheen, as if the stone has absorbed some of the iron it is made of. Yet, if scratched or powdered, it reveals its true inner color: an intense blood red, that of oxidized iron, that of red earth. Hematite is an iron oxide — Fe₂O₃ — one of the most abundant minerals in the Earth's crust and one of the main sources of industrial iron worldwide. It forms in very diverse environments: metamorphic, sedimentary, and hydrothermal rocks — a stone that adapts, persists, and withstands extreme conditions without losing its nature. Each JUMBO piece is a fragment of solidified iron, a mineral density you can feel down to the bones of the hand that holds it.

Emotional and Spiritual Virtues
It is associated with absolute grounding, mental strength, and the protection of inner space. It would accompany those who feel scattered, destabilized, or too permeable to the energy of others — like a lead line connecting to the center of the Earth, it invites a return to one’s own body, one’s own reality, and the present moment. Its dense and stable vibration helps set clear boundaries without aggression, remaining centered in the face of situations that seek to unbalance. It also supports concentration and mental clarity during periods of overload or inner fog. Spiritually, hematite is often described as a stone of return to self — not a withdrawal from the world, but a grounding so deep that nothing can truly destabilize.

Legend
Hematite is one of the oldest coloring materials used by humans — the Lascaux cave paintings, over 17,000 years old, owe their ocher red to powdered hematite. Roman warriors rubbed their bodies with hematite powder before battle, believing it made them invulnerable — its name comes from the Greek haima, meaning blood. The Egyptians placed it in tombs to protect the dead on their journey and carved it into amulets representing a falcon’s head. In Mesopotamia, scribes and seers wore hematite cylinder seals — a stone of power, authority, and truth. Wherever humans sought to hold firm in the face of overwhelming forces, they held hematite in their hands.

JUMBO orders require time for creation, ranging from 2 to 3 weeks during the busiest periods.

The photo is not contractual — each stone is unique, and its imperfections are a testament to its natural origin.
